In this article i am trying to explain how we can find out failed disks in netapp. We had a hard disk failiure in one of the storage box recently.

First option:  Filerview , Here we can easily see the faild disks information.

Check the Netapp box physically ( remove the case in front). can see the amber light of failed disk

Below are some commands we can find out the failed disks

Filer1 > disk show

Filer1> Aggr status -r

Filer1 > Sysconfig -d

Filer1 > vol status -f

And finally because of RAID-DP it didnt affect us. Waiting for the delivery from Netapp to replace this Hard disk.

Thanks
